The 18m DEFENDER Military Assault Boat is a modern high-speed fully planning vessel, having an optimal V-bottom chinned aluminium hull, purpose built to the rules and classification of Bureau Veritas Lightship Patrol Boat. The design is particularly optimized for high-speed security patrols.

The vessel is propelled by two marine rated, diesel-powered main engines and reduction gear boxes and waterjets. Electricity is supplied by one diesel-powered generator set.
The wheelhouse provides all round view from the helm and navigators station. Seating for five(5) crew, and twelve (10) personnel passengers. Air conditioning, sanitary space, a small galleyand ample storage space, offers comfort on extended missions. The primary services allow for coordinated operational missions up to 3 days deployment of essential crew.
Forward disembarking of personnel via a bow door allows for effective shore landings. Provisions are made for ammunition storage and a remote mount weapon system on the wheelhouse roof. Ballistic protection is fitted for the wheelhouse and troop spaces.
